The AG's office has a wierd setup for faxes.
After a ring, there's an automated answer which says they're connecting you. After about 40 secs, the voice says there's no answer, but if you want to send a fax, wait for the tone, which follows immediatly.
My Cheyenne Bit-Ware couldn't handle that so I added 4 commas after
the phone # in the phone book and changed the comma delay to 10 sec. each
comma. That didn't work until my friend pointed out that there was
no 1 in the dial string. Apparently adding the delay somehow superceded
adding the 1 to the start of the dial string and I ended up having to enter
the number
in the phonebook this way: 19163235341,,,, instead
of 9163235341,,,,
Anybody with a manual fax machine can push the button, but with a computer fax, you have to out fox the computer to get the fax.
hope this helps.
