We have made the following contacts in the three states listed below. These representatives and senators range from 75% sure to 95% sure that they will sponsor a bill in 1997. It would help if you would call them or write them with a word of encouragement. Let them know that the most interesting thing about Industrial Hemp bills is that the support is bi-partisan. Persons who will sponsor bills are from both parties and bills which have been voted on have bi-partisan support.

Illinois -- Rep. Richard J. Winkel, Jr.
Huntington Towers, Suite 205
201 W. Springfield Ave.
Champaign, IL 61824
(217) 355-4994

Kentucky -- Senator Barry Metcalf
141 Alycia Dr.
Richmond, KY 40475
(606) 624-8387

South Dakota -- Senator Frank J. Kloucek
R.R. # 1, Box 56
Scotland, SD 57059
(605) 583-4468

We have contacts in four other states but have not identified a legislator who has given us at least 50% assurance of sponsoring a bill.

If you live in any of these states, please send a letter of support your legislators.
Sincerely,

Lloyd Casey
