The Boulder Hemp Initiative Project (BHIP)
BHIP was formed at the
same time as the Colorado Hemp Initiative Project (CO-HIP).
After the 1992 petitioning drive failed, the other groups that
comprised CO-HIP fell apART.
BHIP was the only group that
continued to have meetings on a regular basis and to work
towards hemp re-legalization issues on a state-wide level. In that way, the leaders of
BHIP have become the leaders of CO-HIP, forming one group. CO-HIP focuses on
state-wide issues; BHIP focuses on local issues.
